Julie Webb, correspondent for Narco News (http://narconews.com) and Scoop (http://scoop.co.nz) returns to New Zealand after 18 months in Mexico, to find herself caught up in a wave of 'anti-terrorist' police actions. NZ police used anti-terrorist legislation to round up and intidate hundreds of people even remotely involved in any kind of social activism. Environmentalists, Maori elders (indeed, whole communities), and peace activists were all targetted in the illegal police raids which were timed to coincide with a parliamentary vote to strengthen 'anti-terrorist' legislation.
